New winter tires - 21in Yokohama BluEarth 295/40R21
Yokohama Bluearth V905 - same specs as the Scorpion Winter, 70 bucks cheaper a shoe....
A quick web search revealed that Yokohama launched this tire line in March of this year, but I could't find any reviews in our sizes?
Yes, another winter tire thread for the GL550s/21s - this finally appears to be something new? I didn't seen any other Yokohama winter tires in this size mentioned in the x166 Forum.
Size: 295/40R21
Eco: BluEarth
Load Range: XL
Serv. Desc: 111V
UTQG: None
(Sad that the winter tire search has begun on a 85 degree day in Chicago....)

I'd go, and do in fact, minus one to a 20" in your case. My GL has 19" for winter with a narrower, taller tire than stock summer OEM but 20 for summer. Again, same reasons but benefits include more sidewall and lower cost tires. Rubber savings and easy swapping sets (I bolt on off) with no cost or wheel damage risk compared to mounting rubber twice annually help offset cost of second rims - sometimes sold here in classifieds.
