cargo area scuff plate replacement

Hi,
In the rear cargo area, the left side of the scuff plate is coming off Looking at the replacement parts, I can't seem to find just the trim piece (silver/metal piece). I could attempt to remove that piece, clean it up and use double sided tape to put it back on but if I can get a replacement piece by itself for less than $50, I rather do that instead. Any ideas if MB sells just the trim piece?

Not my car, but showing which part I need replaced.

Bring to dealer, under warranty.

Thanks but I don't think it'll be covered under warranty since I bought it CPO. Under the extended warranty 1 yr / unlimited miles and I bought 2 additional years which brings me to 2020, I don't think the CPO extended warranty covers cosmetic stuff like this. Under the original bumper to bumper I know it will/should be covered.

I suppose no harm bringing it in and ask.

It should definitely be covered under CPO because they missed it, and you noticed it and kept forgetting to tell them. They will cover it.

Really? I'm finding that none of the problems I've had are covered under CPO warranty. They may cover it if you complain but that will be out of goodwill rather than CPO. I've had two problems with the 3rd row seats - rear seat motor fail once and more recently both just stopped working. I've had a rear wiper arm bust. I get intermittent low coolant warnings when it is cold out. None of that are covered under CPO. The CPO warranty is very specific as to what it covers and says that anything not mentioned is not covered. I feel good that if anything major breaks, it will be covered, but all these little failures are not covered and are annoying.

Mbpartsstore.com and online retailers are my go to now.

You may want to try another dealer. Mine has been great. They've fixed all my little problems. Even replaced the driver seat leather.

About this issue, from a few threads I read, most are occurring because of a leak. After parking my car for 10 days in an outdoor uncovered structure in the dead of Michigan winter (went to the Blue Lot if you are in Detroit area, but they ran out of space and I had to parked in the blue lot outdoor structure for the same price!), upon returning, the check coolant light came on the minute I started the car. Was afraid it sprung a leak. Over the next 3 weeks, I monitored the level as the indicator kept coming back on frequently, but the level remained the same. So I was hopefully.

Dropped off my car for an A service last week and mentioned that to the service advisor. He said they did re-fill the coolant for me and assured me there's no leak. So far so good. Indicator had not come back on. So, prob just buy the coolant and re-fill it, or have them re-fill during your service if coming up soon.
