Bluetooth Audio Issue - Playing but no sound
Hi guys
Anyone else encounter this problem?
2013 GL450
iPhone 7 Plus
The bluetooth audio is streaming, and the song is shown playing on the head unit but no sound. I crank up the volume on both radio and phone, still nothing. Rebooted iPhone, made sure firmware up to date.
The odd thing is that at the moment i have a 2018 GLC (dealer loaner) and im having the same problem in this car. Ill probably try and reconnect the bluetooth connection next, hopefully thatll work
Thanks
On another note, ive seen a few 2011 E550 Coupes selling for less than $20K. Would be a great weekend car to pair with this GL = )

I've noticed the same thing on my GL550. It was after a IOS update. I don't remember which update it was. My loss of audio is very intermittent...

Low Power Mode iOS
I encountered the same issue, tried restarting the car, unlinking and all your basic troubleshooting fixes. Only started happening when I received a call mid song en route to Sunday league.
managed to fix it before kick off and I THINK the reason might be because I turned my phone off low power mode (which restricts certain background processes).
id recommend if you’re on iPhone just make sure you’re not in low power mode as an additional troubleshooting measure
im in a 2017 C220d for reference
