Driver Seat Module Replacement?
Took our 2013 GL550 in to the local dealership service to diagnose the intermittent operation of the driver seat controls and heating/cooling. As suspected, the dealer states the seat control module needs replacement and they found some harness pins melted apparently. Quoted cost was $1000 plus tax to repair.
Ive found the control module online for about $120. Haven't looked at the harness yet to see how "melted" the pins are. Has anyone replaced a seat control module before? Do I need to actually pull out the seat? Is there any special programming that needs to be done?
