LED Door Projector - Thoughts
So I stopped at my local MB dealer this past weekend, I notice they sell an aftermarket LED that projects the MB logo on the ground, when the door is opened. Have you guys seen these? Anyone installed them on their GL's? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

If you want your car to stand out. I'd vote for going for the LED Illuminated Star! Of course this won't work if your car has distronic, but if not, get the LED star. AND you can get the star off ebay for like $30 - $50
and then just buy the cable harness from the dealership for like $145, plus a fuse adapter from ebay for $5.
In all it will be cheaper than paying $500 from the dealership for the star.
That's my 2 cents.

So after much thought I pull the trigger on the controversial door projectors. I went with the OEM projectors because they come with a very nice chunky heatsink, a lot of the eBay ones didn’t but that's just my preference. The install was super easy for those considering to perform the update, no tools necessary.
Old light - With your nails\fingers pull on the sides of the old light pulling it towards you, once the old light it’s out press on the little black button on the clip to remove the electrical cable from the electrical housing.
New projector with heatsink - Finally clip the electrical cable from the door to the new projector.
New projector fits in like a glove - tuck the electrical cable back in the door with the projector in place until all sides look even.
front passenger side
Passenger side doors - It actually looks much better in person than online pictures, they are super bright. Overal I'm happy with the results and regret not doing it sooner.

wow ... looks really nice ... love that the cast is very defined circle ... had already upgraded mine to LEDs for brightness, but those are fine ... may I ask how much you paid for them?

I was surprised on how well it projects the light and logo on the ground. The logo can bee seen during the day (not very well but you can see the star). The dealer had a box (two projectors) for $180. It is a little pricey but I liked that it came with a heatsink to help dissipate heat, it does get a little warm.
