Media Cable Removal?
I really wanted to title this thread "Stupid Questions".. but I figure better to forewarn folks what I'm after.... and maybe when the next guy searches the forums with the same question, he'll hit this!
I've tried yanking and looking for clippy / pushy buttons that might be holding this thing in, but have come up with nothing. Do I really just need to yank REALLY hard to get this cable out, or if I do that am I going to pull something through the wall of the center console compartment.... which is what it looks like will happen when I pull on it.

TIA!

Honcho!
I have the same problem. Once inserted it can't be removed. Fortunately, it is a short cable so it easily stows in the center console compartment, but it reduces the amount of useful storage space.
More to the point ... have you found any use for the media cable other than to charge our 'phones?

I looked at my media cable yesterday. It has a small pinch button on the bottom. Once you press it the cable comes out without any issues. One difference though, my cable is a newer version than what came with the truck. The original was broken and replaced under warranty

Thanks, MBQureshi!
It took a lot of squeezing and my fingertips are sore, but I finally felt the SMALL pinch button on the bottom. I tried first while sitting in the passenger seat, but couldn't contort my hand enough ... I could from the driver's seat. Does MB actually test their products or do they just design and build them?
My question remains ... what good is this cable for other than an occasional 'phone charge?
