DTC U016886 for SVS 360 degree Camera (can't find anywhere)

Anyone familiar with this MB specific code? I have a Maxisys Elite that I used to pull my GL550's codes the past few days. The U016886 code doesn't show up on AllDatadiy.com nor on the Mitchell1 sites. Here is the exact phrasing from the diag readout:

(SVS-360 degree camera)
"U016886 - Communication with the Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS/EZS) is faulty. An incorrect signal exists".

Note: this code is not in a "current" status and shows only "stored" next to the diagnostic status.

Not sure if this is the camera control unit, or an issue with the ignition switch per the code readout (I have Keyless go, so I just use the push button to start). So far, I have performed a function and fault test of all 4 (front, rear, left mirror, and right mirror) cameras that the N148 Control Module controls and all systems work. I have also performed an actuation test with my diag tool, and tested the system during a road test. Everything works fine except I did note one issue. As I had the vehicle in a drive-through, I noticed that adjusting the brightness did nothing to the 360 camera overhead image. I had it on a split screen view with the overhead, front, and rear views showing. Then I selected the little brightness icon and adjusted it up and down with no change. Not sure if this applies or not, but it was peculiar since I've adjusted it before.

My goal with fixing this module's issue is to apply the TSB LI54.65-P-059114 camera/software update. The link is to the MBWorld post that discusses how many GL owners have fixed their low nighttime visibility issues with the update that this TSB discusses. I attempted a few months ago to get the local M-B dealer to update my software per the TSB, but the tech said the N148 camera control unit would need to be replaced. I'm not convinced yet, but I need help finding the specific repair options for DTC U016668 if anyone can help.

Lastly, if anyone knows the P/N for the 360 Camera Control Unit (Module), I would appreciate the help. My diag system says the P/N is 000-901-58-02, but when I searched online I could not find that P/N anywhere. It seems the correct number is 000-900-14-07 according to a few of the genuine MB parts sites I searched. Which one is correct?

Thanks in advance.

Jason

I appreciate the help, Plutoe. Any idea where I can find the M-B specific DTC codes and the best diag sites? I’ve already tried Mitchell1 and AllData DIY for my vehicle. My 166.873 GL is a 2013, but I seem to always need to enter a MY2014 GL in order to find the full component list on parts sites and diagnostic/repair resources.

Here's the information from my local M-B Dealership. I called today to verify the PN and they also said the EPC shows the 78-04 PN. However, they cross reference with the parts website they use, and they verified that the 14-07 PN is the newest replacement for the older versions. I included an image from their parts site that shows this PN replaces PN 000 900 78 04. Not trying to say you're wrong, just bringing the discrepancy to your attention. Thanks again for the assistance.

Update: I found a legitimate 2018 version of the WIS-ASRA software from M-B for a good price, so I picked that up yesterday. It includes an updated EPC, repair process tool, all DTC codes for reference, and diagrams directly from M-B. I'll let you all know if it shows updated PNs or if you still need to cross reference current parts sites to ensure proper part ordering. Also, I'll be glad to help anyone with DTC referencing and repair procedures. Along with my Maxisys Elite DOS tool, the WIS-ASRA software should allow me to do almost everything the StarDOS (Xentry) does for the M-B dealership techs, but much cheaper. Cheers!
