Camera ineffective at night

They said the software update came out 12/9, not 12/1 as I heard from the OP. They said they didn’t have to do a road calibration as another poster mentioned.
Here’s what they put on the service report:
360 degree camera software fault 0070 90011 *** 54-0650, 0010, maintain on-board power supply. *** 54-1011, 0020, perform an initial diagnostic quick test. *** 54-0991, 0030, program 360 camera as per LI54.65-P-059114. 54-0992, 0010, code 360 camera control module. Road test.

Back up lights are so dim and the camera is poor at night.i will try to get this updated next week at dealer
My question is, are the side mirrors supposed to rotate down when reversing? My GX460 did this and it was a great feature for hills/my driveway.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Also, my wife's LX570's parking cameras come on each time she slows to a stop. Is there a way to activate the GL to do the same? Would be very nice to have the feature automatic when I'm trying to park (parallel)

Here's my rearview camera after the 360 camera software update. Much better than it was. This is in the country, but my yard lights are quite bright.<br/>
As well, there is a brightness option - did it exist prior to the upgrade? I didnt notice it before.

This camera issue is not mute point... Same with the dim backup lights...

I had my GL550 in for service a couple of months ago and noticed the difference right away. I didn't realize they had applied an update but I mention this as a problem every time (like 3x) I take it in for service just to make a point, not thinking I'll ever see a solution.
The down side is I have had a couple incidents with the camera not working at all but after a day or two (before I can get it back in) it starts working again. I'll mention that at my next service.
I just LOVE this car. I thought I loved my X5 but it ALWAYS had problems.

Had previously been in to the dealership earlier this year around February 2015 and asked if there was anything they could do to fix the terrible back up camera quality at night as I'd been in a newer GL that had a backup camera that actually worked at night!
They didn't find any software updates and the solution was to turn up the brightness on the screen. (doh!) Did some quick research and found cyberorth's post with the "fix" and wondering why the dealership wasn't able to.
Didn't have time to go back to the dealership till now and finally brought a printout of the "fix" to be taken care of along with Service B.
Moral of the story, do research here FIRST and bring solution to dealership instead of expecting dealership to be able to find the solution for you!!

Anyway, just bumping this post in case anyone else with an x166 GL with the 360 camera (option code 501) with a production date up to 10/2014 hasn't had a chance to get this problem resolved!
