I'm thinking the only issue you'll run into is with programming the new module. If you have StarDas or another pass-through programmer that will connect to the Xentry-Star M-B system, you can copy the calibration data from the old module, then program the new one with the old data. That's the only way I can see you avoiding the dealership or Xentry equipped Indy shop. If you're just swapping out the star and clear (base plate) cover, then you won't have any issues with needing to calibrate anything. Good luck!
