Typically I shop for OEM parts at benzpartshq.com, which is a MB dealer in Florida. Their prices are close to the lowest wholesale I've typically seen. For your part, looks like ~$500.

My local dealer is 2mi away but everything is marked up 3-5x, its crazy. Never shop there unless I'm in a huge rush and they've got the part on the shelf.

Mekantor, could I get some assistance with my VIN and the proper turn signal assembly?
I too have the issue with the blind spot, lane assist, and all other systems failing as well as turn signals. I do have an internal torque control module code. I’m hoping this will fix the issue.

thank in advance @mekantor

I broke down and purchased a Autel 906S because my eld readers don’t seem to give much info on this newer X166. Who knows, maybe I have 2 issues, the internal torque control module and this multifunctional switch but my dealer here isn’t a place I trust. I have an extended warranty but with my EC tune I’m certain they will point to that as being the problem.
thank you for getting me the proper part number, I’d hate to get the wrong one.

@6172crew torque converter errors sound like they're related to the transmission control module.
If you're in the Houston area at some point with that car, get a hold of me and I'll look at it with Xentry.

I bought a maxsis906S and was able to check codes with a proper diag tool. It isn’t a xentry (I do have an older xentry for my E63 W211) and the only codes that stayed about a quick reset were an illuminated door sill. I’m not convinced it is a fix but I have to wait to see what code returns. Like xentry this Autel will show things that are not permanent codes like my tail gate kicking back open because the plastic tray was in the way once. I can also run live tests, so I can run the steering wheel up and down, push all the buttons and use turn signals and see if it kicks out an issue again. This system isn’t as good as xentry so the multifunction switch module isn’t one of the devices I can run a live test but the scan tool should pick it up…hopefully.

Thanks for the information. I ordered and received the part. I just went to a nearby repair shop for the replacement, and they told me that extra efforts such as zero-point calibration and 4-wheel alignment are needed for the replacement, which charges $700 for labor. Are these essentially necessary? Or I can ask them to simply replace the multi-function switch only?

If they mark the teeth as the steering wheel sits originally and place it back at the same marks, its not needed. You're not touching alignment at all here, no suspension work.
A full alignment at the dealership would be much less than 700.

I waited a bit before posting but I bought a Autel 906S and ran some tests on my X166 GL450 and the problems went away. Odd, but I wanted to pass along the info.

The test I ran was the live functions tests for the steering wheel as well as reset my suspension from the hot functions. It has been 2 weeks since I had the "don't drive, go to dealership type messages come up.

Not sure there, but you're probably better off ordering more locally, or from Europe.

They have a MB Nigeria website, and it lists dealerships in the country: https://www.mercedes-benz.com.ng/en/...locations.html

Have a fault code for both Steering column and the Instrument Cluster control module

do these share wiring?

These are different modules with their own wiring. What is the code?

C074700 n80 for the steering control module

and DTC u0155

The needles in the Cluster itself works fine but randomly blind spot, distronic + and PreSafe go inop.

Nominal voltage is 14.8
Voltage at time of Fault/DTC: 14.7-14.8

Are you reading these with Xentry or juat a OBDII scanner? Cluster doesn't run those systems, just an info display. To me it sounds like the same steering column module issue as others have experienced.
