Key FOB without key!
I bought my '15 GL450 about a year and a half ago. The other day, I realized that the little key INSIDE the keyfob on one of the keyfobs is missing. I don't know if it was there when I bought it or it fell out of the key or whatever. Both keyfobs work, we are good there. How do I get another key? (not a whole keyfob which I know requires programming and is expensive).

I see on ebay they sell those key inserts uncut for $5. Is it really as easy as getting one of those and then going any store that copies keys and use the other key from the other keyfob as the master?

So glad I did not lose the keyfob!

What for? If he can get the blank online, he can take it to Ace Hardware or another store with his other key and get it cut for just a few dollars.

Ace Hardware won't cut Mercedes keys. Only the dealer.

It does take a different kindof machine to do the cutting - "some" locksmith shops can cut that have the machine - those shops that don't have that machine can't - and it ain't ACE Hardware - and it ain't a key making machine at Walmart either !
