I have an 04 E500 and have had some SLs (R230s) in the past, so I'm familiar with both the airmatic and ABC suspensions. Have replaced bits on both. This new to me 2015 GL550 is puzzling me though. Can you guys look at this and LMK if this is normal? I'm parked on uneven ground, but the passenger side looks normal. I'm also not getting any service suspension lights nor does the car's suspension sink overnight, but I do get a "whoosh" from the airmatic pump sometimes after parking the car. Does this model also attempt to self-level while parked? Also getting some shudder when applying the brakes at lower speeds. Almost seems like a strut housing is loose. Thanks in advance...
Park it on even ground and see if its even. It's normal for a GL to have some suspension articulation when on uneven ground. As for shudder when braking - sounds like it's time to replace the rotors.
