My pre fuse box and the body harness has to be replaced. The dealership repairs are 13K!!! Any tips? HELP!!!
Sorry to hear. Water damage and Mercedes vehicles is not a good combination. It's unfortunate but not out the question, the quote you have received.

Do you have a service quote that you can post here?
Do you have a list of electronic modules that need to be replaced?
What problems are being experienced with the vehicle? Does the engine start? Can it be put into gear? Can you drive the vehicle?

It's not unusual for a dealer to say "the harness and modules need to be replaced", a very vague statement. This gives themselves the latitude to provide you a very expensive quote, which it seems has occurred.
When I asked for the workup the advisor sent me a very vague statement. Just says pre fuse box and statement need to be replaced. I know the seats were removed and there was corrosion in the fuse box. The vehicle will not go into gear and it does not run at all. I am hoping my husband and I will be able to remove the seats and replace the box and harness ourselves.

The last time I drove it, we had tornado and storms right before COVID19 and I didn't want to ride my small car because of flooding in certain parts of town. The truck sat up, but was fine. When I tried to drive it again in June it would not start or go into gear. Insurance company denied the claim after the dealership did water testing and was unable to find a leak. I was at a lost because I thought it would be covered. They said they couldn't cover it because the dealership's test did not determine where the water was coming in and no one at the dealership could say it was weather related.

You had tornadoes and storms earlier this year, and wanted to drive a higher vehicle like the GL because of flooding in your area, correct?
