Fuel pressure issue (too high)
Hi guys, need your help. I bought my GL350 2013 AMG two years ago with 45k KM on it (100k KM now). The first thing I have noticed was a diesel fuel on the top of the fuel filter.
Replaced the fuel filter and clamps. A few weeks later noticed fuel on the top of the filter again. Replaced fuel clamps this time with aftermarket (screw type) clamps.
The fuel started coming from the line between the fuel sensor and the fuel pressure sensor.
Replaced the fuel lines and clamps, was not leaking for a while, and then started to push fuel through clamps again.
No codes related to fuel pressure.
Question
How does the fuel pressure regulator work on the GL?
Is it mechanical (spring-loaded)? Or works electronically and it feeds from the pressure sensor?
I do have the MB star hardware/software.
