I love this vehicle as is but I feel that I will like it more if the two front windows are darker since they are just clear.
Is there a recommended tint percentage that you would recommend for the two front windows? What I want is just to match the rest of the windows which have the factory tint. I’m not sure what the factory percentage is.
This is a picture of the GL.
I forgot to say... I live in Minnesota so according to Google, the limit for the front windows is 50%.
I would swing by a tint shop and see if they can hold up some film to your front window, so you can see that it matches the rear ones. Remember that it will look different in the dark, under lights in their shop, and outdoors. So look at it in all 3 places.
Most good tint guys can tell you by looking at it what will be the closest % to match the back ones.
I'd try to stay legal in your State. Law Enforcement doesn't like approaching a vehicle where they can't see the driver's hands, thus the laws.
Make sure you can see out at night. I don't like a dark tint on the side windows because i can't see approaching ANYTHING. I had mine removed because I didn't feel it was safe.

Consider doing the sunroof. I had my sunroof limo tinted. I keep the shade open at all time. One less thing to break!

Hi. How did you have the dark tint removed? I bought a GLB 250 12 days ago and the one thing that bugs me is the side and rear windows overly dark tint. Like you, I can't see out at night and it's actually unsafe. The interior lights also reflect making it worse! I wish I would have caught this during the test drive but it was during the day.
I live in New Jersey where tinting the front is illegal. I personally have 5% on the back and 20% on the front and 50% on the windshield. I think it looks amazing with that setup.
