Had a recent fault with parking brake. I thought as pads were getting low, that this was the issue.

when i went to replace pads this morning they will not retract in service mode. I am getting the following messages;



any suggestions as to what to do next? Thanks in advance.

 

Are you confident you are following the service retract procedure correctly? Steering wheel buttons need to be pushed in the right sequence and within the specified time windows. Have you ever successfully retracted the pads into replacement position?

What model year and how many miles on the vehicle?

 

100% confident doing it correctly.

Mileage is 94,000, 2015 GL550

 

You need a new E brake servo motor. Literally just replaced mine.

Much cheaper sources out there. The stock MB unit wasn't very good so I can't say to go that route. There are some good tutorials on Utube and it's an easy DIY.
