Removing rear center console plate vent

Hi, I have a 2015 GL and for the life of me I still can’t figure out how to remove the cover plate off the rear center console. I wanted to repair some loose tabs on the two rear vents. I looked online and most of the instructions say pull on thr two tabs at the top and pull upward. I tried but there’s got to be other tabs near the bottom. I don’t want to break anything so any advice or detailed instructions would help. Thanks.

You mean the center console between the two front seats? If yes, this has been posted many times on this site. The search feature will find it. I prefer using Google with results restricted to site:mbworld.org

You need to pull out the rear tray on the bottom by sliding something thin and hard at the top center when half-open and then pulling past the normal opening position. Then you will see the screws (I think 4 of them) holding the rear plate. Once you remove the screws, the rear plate just pops out.

Excellent. Thanks for the documentation. I’ve only seen the first half page of the instructions posted online. Glad to see there’s more details after. Thanks.
