Transmission lines campaign
I had my transmission lines blow up yesterday. I was told by an independent MB shop that there was a "campaign", not a recall, to get them replaced. Supposedly MB will cover the repairs for this item.

Has anyone seen this or have any info?

The car just stopped going, I pulled over immediately and it dumped trans fluid all over the road.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Did you see what part of the the transmission line failed? Hard metal pipe, rubber hose, rubber-to-metal crimp or an end fitting?

7G or 9G transmission?

I did not see where the leak was, there was so much fluid on the ground I just let the flatbed take it away. From the top, I could only see fluid everywhere. The connection at the radiator was intact

It's a 7spd, g7 I think.

Do you have the invoice or part #'s of the lines they replaced? I'd like to proactively order and replace those parts on my GL.....

If anyone has a copy of the campaign, that would be helpful too!

I never actually found it, digging around and did not see anything. He may have been misleading me.

It was 7 qrts of fluid and the clip. Not bad.

Hilarious
Hilarious.

It made it >2k miles. Might also have have been my driving, nothing like rush hour on the parkway to raise the rpms. If it did not make it as far as it did, I would have been quicker to diagnose it.

Believe me, no one trusts my work less than I do. I'm sure end of the day I had something to do with it.
