2018-19 upgrade

I have 90k on the chassis, 60k on the motor. No issues, runs great, no concerns. In very good condition otherwise. New tires, brakes, cooling system.

I can get $22k from Carvana or autolenders as a sale. May or may not get more as a trade in.

2018 or 19 gls450 w 40k, CPO, run about mid upper $50s. Probably high end of 50s to get a similarity optioned one.

Given the new ones have fewer options surprisingly, and I don't really care about "new" does it make sense to transact? My biggest thing is the engine and a catostrophic failure. Might be completely unfounded, but absent that I am fine w my 2014.

I'm getting a very good price for the 2014, maybe an inflated price for a 2018. But another year of warranty and maybe get the dealer to kick in for them more years.

What do people think about the trade? Am I being influenced by getting more than I expected on the 2014?

Appreciate all thoughts
Thanks

I had the same thoughts, my 2017 has 48k miles and Carmax offered $32.5, I owe $7.5k. I price out a 2022 GLE350 and it was $66,700 and I didn't see enough value in my upgrading cars. The only thing I was doing was getting a new car with an upgraded interior and a four-cylinder TT engine. Mostly I don't want a new car loan so I'm biased.

Keep the 2014 unless you are wanting to upgrade to one with more options. Prices are unrealistically high now and will fall rapidly when supply catches up. You don't want to be underwater.
