M276 Right Bank Crash Plate

I'm replacing the Camshaft Adjusters and I'm having a devil of a time on the right side bank tearing down to the valve cover

Has anyone removed the crash plate from the rear of the right side bank? It's supposedly held on by 5 bolts (removed) but it doesn't want to budge, just wiggles around a bit. I've removed all wiring harnesses from it. The WIS is less than helpful - just magically remove the crash plate,

Any advice???

Thanks!

Have you removed the false bulkhead corner and middle pieces? The crash plate covers the high pressure fuel pump.

Do you have EPC? This sometimes fills in gaps that WIS leaves open. Also look at eBay for M276 engines for sale, often there are many good photos showing the engine from all angles.

For good measure take a look from underneath and near the transmission bell housing with a bright LED flashlight. This might give you a better idea of what you are working with.

I did remove the false bulkheads from the right (passenger) and center of the engine compartment

The part I'm having issues with is circled in red on the right and called the Fuel Pump. It's actually a crash plate that covers the fuel pump and I can't figure out how to remove it once it's unscrewed. Something is holding it back. All of the screws - including the one with the bracket seen below have been removed for a total of 5 screws (two on top inboard side, two on outboard side of head, and 1 on the back with the bracket. I cant get it to more than wiggle. I can't even figure out which direction it's supposed to go.
that
Noted as fuel pump (Credit goes to W205C43AMGCoupe who has a series of great photos of this motor on the thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...v6-thread.html)

Thanks!
