Have always turn to the advice of the forum members for virtual all maintenance/repairs related to the GL. So here I am back to the forum.
This time, I couldn’t find any post related to this question. Hence started a new thread. So my AC suddenly stopped blowing cold air 5 minutes into my ride yesterday. Pulled out the scanner, no codes. Looked at a live reading for the AC and saw this: over 13,000 PSI. Obviously the Pressure Sensor is broken.
On a lot of cars, there’s a check valve when you remove the pressure sensor and it stops the Freon from escaping. On the GL, if I unscrew the pressure sensor is there such a valve or am I going to loose all the Freon?
I don’t have any AC tools so if there’s no check valve I will have to leave it to the car shop for this repair…
Yeah…just don’t want to unscrew the sensor and have the freon come out. Sure, if I’m fast i can just refill it relatively cheaply…but not the right thing to do. It’s an easy job don’t think an Indy will charge too much.

yes, you are right: now it's just in/out.
Let us know how that went & then how much to have you sensor replaced.
