GL450 Sputters After Getting Gas and Code P0496
My 2015 GL450 (80k miles) started sputtering after filling up but ran like normal after a few seconds. CEL came on shortly thereafter and code is P0496 (evaporative emission system high purge flow). I bought a Carquest gas cap from Autozone a week ago, but CEL is still on and car sputtered when I filled it up a few days ago; it also appears that my gas mileage has gone down. I changed the plugs and air filters 15k miles ago.
Looks like maybe the next part to change is the vapor purge solenoid valve.
Any thoughts?
