Overhead control panel not working

Hi! I was working on hard wiring my radar detector to my GL550, 2014 as I did a similar thing to a couple earlier posts eluded to, from 2013-2016, 2018. Older posts as noticed, but havnt seen anything closer to the the present, or any resalutions posted. As we all do get busy, completely understood. As i was also in to much of a hurry, usually ultra careful with electrical issues, or projects, I touched the wires and the panel went completely dead. All front lighting overhead, front and rear. The sunroof switch, as well as the rear view buttons for the Garage door. As well noticed the ambient lighting running along the wood from left to right sides of the GL. Ive looked at all the N70 panel fuses located, so I believe, and seems to come down to a couple in the panel located under the pass seat, by the battery. Only thing is looks like as well from reading, the seat needs to come off to get to the PRE fuses in question.
The thing that puzzled me is the roof will close, as was needed, OF COURSE it was to rain the very next day, and indeed did for 4 STRAIGHT DAYS……LOL.. awesome timing, right. But used the emergency lock/unlock function on the key fob and it closes and opens all windows, as well AS THE SUNROOF when these situations are needed. Was grateful to remember this and has me wondering if the key is able to open/close the roof, the main fuse should be fine?? Or the PRE fuse thats in the battery compartment fuse panel should be fine?? Not sure of either. Ive looked and re looked and relooked at all the fuse panel info on paper, and seem to not be able to see anything related, except in the PRE fuse panel…
Just wondering if anyone else may of had a similar issue, not as far back, and can assist in the right direction to go. This is a message to the member who posted back 5 years ago, and just making sure in case not remembering or gone, to ask everyone. Thanks so much, and look forward to figuring this out and hopefully helping others as well going forward..

(HI. Im sorry to contact ya after an older post you had, in 2018, about the RD you were attaching, and blew the lighting in the overhead panel. I was doing the same thing on my GL550, and did the same thing, to much in a hurry and find the overhead front panel, all the lighting and sunroof as well the rearview mirror garage door opener, all not working. I have traced all I can see and seems to come down to the fuses as well, the ones by the battery that the passenger seat needs to come off to get to the Pre Fuses…. UGH. I noticed in the post you said you took to the dealer because of that, and wanted to see if ya had any updates to what they found, and how it was finally remedied? I realize it is 4/5 years back, but I can remember things on my 2007 and 31 S500/S550 that were really annoying and needed further things done to fix, and am hoping that ya do as well. I appreciate everythiong and may be posting on the forum and just as an fyi, just incase you may be unable to remember or gone for some reason….. Thanks again, and hope to hear from ya soon.
