2015 GL550 cylinder scoring
I need some advice on an issue with my 2015 GL550. Originally, it was discovered oil in the engine harness that was causing misfires. The dealer wanted to change the magnets, positioning sensors, spark plugs, harness and ECU and over $13k for the job. I took the car back and after changing the sensors, spark plugs and cleaning the harness the issue remains which likely means the issue is with the harness and/or ECU. However, during the spark plug change we found 4 out of the 8 cylinders have scoring.
My question is, does the extended MB warranty on the "Emission Extended Warranty – Exhaust Valve Assembly" from March 2023 or the LI01.30-P-061835 TSB would cover the scoring issues?

There has been no report on this site where MB has covered scoring beyond normal manufacturer's warranty. This doesn't stop you from asking or seeking compensation.

I doubt it, mine was under warranty, but they refused to cover it saying that they could not verify that I had changed the oil at the correct intervals. I appealed to MBUSA and got no where.
Will probably never buy another MB again, exp considering the X7 is available now.

BMW has its own issues as well. Nothing's wrong with a Honda pilot or Acura MDX.

Thank you all for the replies! I had the car at another MB dealer and regarding the scoring they said since there are no active codes they can't potentially link it with the exhaust valve extended warranty.
On my original issue with the oil in the harness they found that the root cause for the misfires is an internal short in the coil for cyl 1 and that was blowing fuse 217, not the oil in the harness. Since all the cams for bank 1 were on the same circuit they did not have power supply. After replacing the coil the car runs fine.
