Part interchange number

Have a 2014 GL63 and can't seem to find the right radiator since this part number seems to be retired. The part is A1665000603. It's the radiator for a 2014 GL63.

099-500-48-03 is the new part number for the next person looking. What a pain to replace. MB does not make their vehicles easy to repair. There is a lot going on in the front of the M157. MB should have incorporated the transmission cooler lines into the radiator. If they had, it would have made it much easier to replace.

May want to consider replacing “auxiliary” radiator which sits nestled in between the main “radiator” and the front bumper in addition to the numerous cooling hoses (for the twin turbos gl 550 cooling circuit though I believe 63 the same).

I did not initially think it needed replacing though upon removal, I was satisfied the call was made by evidence of small green witness lines in 2 places. Candidly that was one of the most painful jobs performed imho, but worth it as we are keeping this vehicle for the long term.

Both radiators purchased from FCP euro. I too had difficulty tracking down the part numbers.

Yeah, probably should have done both. It would have been easier than working around the secondary radiator with all the lines still attached. Had to enlist the wife to help to get the secondary radiator back on the primary unit. The piggyback idea should be tossed as it was an absolute pain to get those two lined up. I've got the bruises on my forearms and my fingers look like I got into a fight with a cheese grater.

Mine too! First time I ever said some MB power train engineers should have been fired over that design & implementation. Well, it’s done now so good on you! Enjoy the driving even more with the satisfaction of no sweet smells at stop lights and parking spaces .
