2014 GL350 - Should we keep going?

I currently have the wife (our family SUV) in a GL350 with 62k miles. This was a CPO purchase that is just coming out of warranty next month. The oil pump, all gaskets/seals, water pump, timing chain have been replaced. The Diesel fix was installed as we purchased at 45k miles back in 2021 or so.

Our mechanic says we should keep this thing forever.

The fun part here is as follows:
I love getting 27.5mpg on the highway
She LOVES the Maybach, quilted brown leather interior option that the previous owner paid $10,000 for
But with a current value around $20K, it is hard to find a replacement that makes any sense. This is a 2 owner, 0 accident vehicle.
We are a little spooked about the transmission, AC, diffs, air suspension, DEF, etc. -- since we haven't had to replace these.
Now we are approaching 10 years old - SHOULD WE KEEP GOING? All thoughts appreciated.

(PS: We are leaning towards continuing, but who wants $10K in repairs on a <$20K vehicle?)
(PPS: If we keep her, the idea is to install a high end Android Auto/Apple Car Play system and tow hitch - the keep going for 3+ years)

62k miles is nothing for MB diesel.
When you might face some bigger expense for injectors and HP fuel pump, that usually happens in 200k range, so long way to go.
I usually replace my cars for cosmetic reasons. I have money for better looking car and like newer technology, but that's me.
The 1998 E300DT I sold to forum member over 10 years ago is still loved and runs well with over 300k miles on it.

Well, I know what you mean. The diesel isn't the issue, I think its the rest of it + DEF. We have the money to do whatever we want, but she loves the Maybach level interior on this one. I'm thinking I should just do the screen update and keep on going for a few years and take the chances.

PS: Better looking car? Everyone I know thinks we have a 3-4 year old GLS - not a 10 year old GL350

You did not post your location, but in America, 2014 should have extended AEM warranty?
IMHO when the DEF technology slightly improved lately, the knowledge how to deal with it went long way in last 3-4 years.
Nobody worries about it too much any longer.
Just make sure you know DEF refill correct procedure and have a monitor, to observe DPF regeneration.

OP, what do you mean by Maybach level interior? Seats have the diamond stitching?
