Add Rear Seat Entertainment
Hey Everyone...
Im looking to add the factory style rear seat entertainment to my 2016 GL350. This vehicle does NOT have the prewire option.
I understand the issues surrounding having to wire everything in and splice things together if you dont have the pre wire option, however :
My question is - If I were to pull the parts from a wrecked car, can I simply pull a complete wire harness from the wrecked vehicle in order to complete this install without having to rewire ? Im not sure if there is an easy hardness from the main screen to the console and screens or how it works ?

I've had my interior apart to install the wiring for the factory trailer hitch. What you're proposing, if possible, will be a lot of work. I think it isn't worth the effort for an outdated system. I like the looks of the factory installation. If I were you, I'd try to use the factory setup, but updated with modern electronics.
