'15 Gl450 3L V6, 3 QUESTIONS
1. When replacing the oil filter: To the right of the center hole is a cavity filled with oil. Why does that not drain away?
2. The lower driving lights on the bumper. The owners manual refers to them as cornering lights with no notes concerning options. I have halogen headlights. They are also called parking and fog lights. How do I know what I have?
3. All the talk about the oil pump(s) how / where do I disconnect should I choose to.

1) likely a check valve with the oil pickup screen upstream of that. The check valve is there to stop the oil filter from draining back each time the engine is turned off. I generally use the oil extractor to pull out the bit of old oil that stays in that tube.
2) Run your VIN through www.lastvin.com to find out what options you have. Start flipping switches and observing what happens to double check and know what you have.
3) Pick whatever extractor pump you like (I have a Pela, others like Motive, there are likely others). Stick the skinny extractor tube down the oil dipstick tube. Don't mistake the oil for ATF.
2) Run your VIN through www.lastvin.com to find out what options you have. Start flipping switches and observing what happens to double check and know what you have.

#3, I am referring to the low oil pressure at low speed/rpm issue that gets a lot of attention.
