Putting vehicle on lift air suspension question

Hey y’all this might come off as a stupid question and I’m sorry if it does I’m just really curious I wanna make sure I do this correctly. I’ve dealt with air suspension before with different vehicles and different brands. However, different brands and vehicles have different requirements when you put the vehicle on a lift for example, my dad‘s old expedition had rear air suspension. Ford said to just go into the computer settings on the dash and turn it off before you took it off the ground so you don’t cause any damage.

well, I’m curious about the proper procedure to do it in the X166 and X167. I have a 2013 GL 63 AMG and we also have a 2017 GLS 550 however the GLS recently had it’s driver rear brake caliper changed along with the parking brake mechanism and ever since has driven like absolute crap. The suspension feels super soft, the vehicle swayed over bumps from side to side. I had the airbags recalibrated still feels like crap so I wonder what the proper way to lift these vehicles is so that next time I have a service or when I finally put my GL on my lift that we just got installed I know how to either turn off bags or if I have to buy something to go in the system and put it into a diagnostic mode or whatever I have to do and I’m very sorry for this being so long winded thank you .

I've never had an issue. Worst case is the system will deflate the bags to try to lower the car that it thinks is high because the wheels are danglling. It'll blow them back up again once the wheels touch down and the car thinks it's too low.
Such has been my experience with my '13 ML.
Leave the doors and hood closed during the whole period the wheels are off the ground and your car likely won't even notice.

Who did the work, who calibrated the electronic parking brake? Was the brake job properly done with the proper commands from a connected tool or via the dash options?

Independent shop, theyve got all of the tools needed to run the commands, etc. I took it back to have them run a calibration test, their master tech however called me and asked me to bring it back for a compensation test. He thinks the awkward position one of their younger techs left it in while waiting for the new brake caliper to arrive may be what caused a problem.
