Warning light came up to check the oil on next refueling. When I checked the oil later it was low and I went to go fill it up. Well the oil splatter on the ground and this hose was off/ snapped. I need to know what this is that is connected to the crankcase breather.
WHere you are going to want to check is behind the Oil/Coolant heat exchanger. This is a VERY common area for oil loss. Matter of fact, so common that I have the replacement part right here with me. It is easier to get the whole unit, comes with the plug (not in the image, it is under), the gaskets and the filter. Far less time to install.
Beyond that, the other main culprit is the three plastic caps on the rear of the engine - all three are pretty easy to access. The other would be the breather
Oh, as for the broken coolant fitting. SO SO SO common. Every one of the fittings is going to be brittle like that. If you are handy they are quite easy and pretty low cost to repalce them all.
