What I am being told is that MB is holding them at VPC until all 18 customers are re-confirmed as non-export - MB is like full alert on this from the top down...

I'll take some pics tomorrow, got a call from my dealer last Saturday half hour before they closed, car was in, had to send my wife to grab the keys. Picked it up that night!
The Blue paint and Black interior sure show the dirt... Its been raining here most of the week and looks like the car needs to be cleaned already...
Amazing car though, spent an hour last Saturday night trying to figure out how everything worked, haven't tried the self parking feature and need to get on a back country road to see how night vision works, in town not so great. Massage unit, and paddles shifters are fun, but its the sound of the car and its jump when you hit the gas that truly makes you smile! The wife has already set down new rules for when the kids are in the car... ooops!

Congrats, you lucky dog . . . Do you know if you have the first GL63 in Canada? We know the first US versions have not yet been delivered so you may have the first in all of North America??? Which would be pretty cool.
You have got to post lots of pictures tomorrow! I can't wait to see it.

interesting to see the dash display on the euro version...cookstar's uTube post. I haven't seen the images shown on my own car... Guess I shouldn't expect to see too many Autobahn Speed limit markers popping up on my display haha.

MAD GL63 - Thanks for answering my question and for posting pictures. I guess they still don't have a solution for the 3rd seat sun roof. I was hoping they will include a cover. I don't know if the lack of cover on the 3rd sunroof is an oversight or a design flaw but just does not make sense to me.
SO - That's quite a markup for the GL63. One interesting thing to note that it mentioned the GL63 will not be released until June in the US.
Fab - Any update on the GL63s that are sitting collecting dust at VPC. Any idea when they might be released?

Its funny when I saw early pics of the rear sunshade I was really disappointed I thought they looked a bit after-market and cheap. In fact they actually don't look that bad when your sitting in the car with the door closed, they are quite effective and work well. Not sure how you would install it yourself afterwards though???

Thanks very much for your perspective on the run sun shade. I think I will add that to my order. When you get a chance, will you post a few more exterior shots of your GL? Love to see a few more.

On the "missing" third row sun shade, I have contacted MBUSA to see whether they are aware of this as a source of complaint and whether they may address it. I would guess not this early in the model year cycle but let's see what they say.
