Hi all, I'm thinking of changing my GL63 exhaust.

After some googling, could only found Renntech and Brabus.

Appreciate if anyone can introduce me other brands. I would very much love to keep the original look. Just wanting the car to be louder to be on the fun side.

Cheers...

Supersprint from Italy.
You can do a full system or axle back.
You have to cut your OEM exhaust to install.

Honestly the best brand, quality, craftsmanship, and performance is BRABUS. Please PM us if you'd like a price quote.

Thank you!

Looks like GTHaus (Meisterschaft)
http://www.gthaus.com/retail_pricing.pdf

or Supersprint
http://supersprint.us/CAR/Mercedes%2...iTurbo%20(X166)

Meisterschaft is probably what I'd go with the valve control. They have a video of the ML63 with it on and it probably sounds similar to the GL63.

How do you control the exhaust to go from loud to soft? I heard you press something on the steering wheel?

Thanks. I've been lazy about making more videos. Wanna get a go pro and take it for a ride and really open it up. Here's a link to another video I posted.... No revving but it's from a cold start with the exhaust valve opened up from the start. Hope the link works

Got the Brabus - it's perfect with the valve control. Very happy with it.

Sorry, but I just saw this.... You are correct. The exhaust valve is opened by holding the up arrow on the left side of the steering wheel for 3 seconds and the down button for 3 seconds will close it, or the valve automatically closes when you shut the engine off.

Brabus is as good as it comes however we are looking at over $13K for this system, that's a bit much IMHO.

Here are the photos of the two types of downpipes that we offer for your truck. As you can see all of our parts are made using stainless steel, everything is 100% made in the USA except for the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter is made by GESI out of Canada and is one of the highest quality aftermarket high-flow catalytic converters available.

It is a very expensive catalytic converter and we do not make any money on the catalytic converters. They are $400.00 each so we add $800 to our street-legal downpipes to cover the costs of the catalytic converters. We are the ONLY aftermarket Mercedes tuner that uses a very high precious metal content catalytic converter.

As you can see from the pictures, the downpipes you see pictured on everyone else's web page are not the ones for a GL63. These are what they should look like. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

OFF-ROAD PIPES- $1795.00

STREET-LEGAL PIPES- $2595.00

Staff@WORLD few questions:

1) are these guaranteed not to throw a CEL on the Catted version?
2) are these 200 cell catalytic converters?
3) Are the O2 sensor in the same position as OEM?
4) have these been tested on a GL63? I'm just curious to why they're not posted on the Rado or World Motorsport site.

Thanks.

Yes, they have been tested and are selling for a G63.

The Street-Legal version use a very high precious metal content catalytic converter so it will not trigger a check engine light.

The o2 sensors are very close to the stock position as OEM.

They are high flow catalytic converters.

I have not put them on the site because I am building a new back end of the site now.

Staff@WORLD,

Few more questions,

1) even on full load/wide-open throttle, no CEL on stock ECU? RennTech's street legal 200 CEL causes a CEL on WOT, but no CEL on "regular" driving. The extra flow/O2 triggers the 2nd O2 sensor for a CeL.

2) what's the diameter, same as stock?

3) how much for ceramic coating?

Thanks.

1) We use a high precious metal content cat and that is exactly what it is designed to prevent. When you use a low-cost high flow cat is when you will see that check engine light on a turbo or supercharged car. It's always a you get what you pay for scenario. We do not cut any corners when it came to the materials that we are using and everything is made in North America.

2) They are slightly larger than stock

3) I can do it for $200.00 for the pair.
