I'm getting a check coolant level message when the engine is cold. It goes away once it warms up.

Does anyone have the part number for the pink coolant that is in the 2015 GL63? I called the MB parts department and they told me the latest coolant is tinted blue and the part number is Q1030004. I have some Q1030002 (yellow tint) coolant purchased for a 2007 GL450 and wanted to see if it was compatible with the pink stuff in the GL63. The parts guy said the new blue coolant is compatible with the pink, but I'm hesitant about mixing the two until I can confirm it.

From what I have researched on the forums, it sounds like MB switched to the pink tinted coolant in mid-2014. My GL63 has a July 2014 build date and has the pink coolant.

Apparently the color doesn't matter, its just the coloring dye that made it pink.

going evans
I just ordered a gal of the Evans waterless coolant and the system cleaner from Eastwood, but I just realized. I won't be mixing it with water.
It's going to take a little more than a gallon and be a little more expensive than I was (not) thinking.

I purchased the coolant from my local MB dealer. The part number for the pink stuff is A 000 989 28 25 11. It is Spec 325.5. They only had it in a 5 liter jug and it was $45. It took about 2 cups of the 50:50 mix to top off both the main coolant tank and the intercooler tank (located under the engine cover); both were a little low.

About the pink coolant; I discovered that my car got the pink coolant too... a MB C250, german made Class W205 ; the actual color refered in the MB Spec is thr 325.0, is blue... but the pink MB refered is the 325.5, if you check the OEM pink bottle is identical to the Pentosin brand... the Pentofrost E, and such coolant got the same spec at MB 325.5... I can imagine that Pentosin (German Brand) sells to the MB factory this fluids... I dont know for certain if the Pentofrost E (Violet colored and concentrated) is really a violet color... I think it is a bit pinky or turns pinky when its diluted 50/50 with water... I have to see physically to prove... but if you got some doubts see the new pentofrost antifreeze packages and they are identical to the OEM Mercedes Benz bottles...

thanks!

I had the same problem.. plus the car always smelled like coolant after a drive.

they found an issue with an improperly installed Y adapter that feeds the turbos.

Instead of replacing anti freeze... call your dealer.
