Exhaust Mod
Just picked up a GL63 and interested in a few mods:
1. What can be done to the exhaust to make it a bit louder? Not looking to invest in a complete exhaust upgrade, just something like downpipes/Cat bypass pipes (like on Cayenne Turbo's) or unplugging a vacuum line to keep the exhaust open (like on BMW's).
2. ECU tune. The tune's seem ridiculously expensive but any feedback regarding the different companies? Not much when I search and most of what I found was outdated.
3. Lowering module. Anyone try it?

I'll have to get this too. I'm hoping it mates up with my Brabus exhaust, I think it's just muffler back and not cat back.
You going to install yourself or go to a shop? Wonder how much it will cost, a simple put on lift and swap or if it's a huge deal.

The Renntech mods I have my dealer do the work, I'm close to the boss there and I trust them plus I'll keep my warranty by having them do the work.

The exhaust sound is incredible, sometimes I take the car out just to hear the exhaust. It's that much nicer than the stock exhaust.

Valve control is nice because it starts out in quiet mode, which Brabus calls "Coming home mode" which is perfect for my wife.

For anyone interested in hearing the resonator delete on the GL63:
It's almost perfect. A little too loud on start up and when WOT but otherwise sounds great. Downshifts sound amazing.

Question, do you have a picture of your GL63 undercarriage? I would love to see what it looks like after the MOD.

That last post goes to show that the Brabus exhaust is a lot $$ for what it is. No doubt there are better options out there. I considered one for my 2016 car but the cost with the changed rear valance/bumper put me off and to be honest i'd prefer to retain the OEM rear tips.
