I think these may be the only ceramics out there in the marketplace- they're certainly the only ones I've found marked specifically ceramic thus far. Pretty surprising that there aren't more options given how many MB cars supposedly use these brakes. For front and rear sets, I only see Hawk, EBC, Pagid and OEM. Most of the others seem to be rear only (porterfield). My other go-to's don't have them at all- Akebono, GLoc and Carbotech.

I've narrowed my choice down to EBC, Hawk or OE. Will get a set ordered up and post my experience as we live with them (likely EBC red or Hawk).

Related note- does anyone know the minimum rotor thickness spec? The car is due for a Service B here shortly, so I can always ask the dealer, but I'd rather double check...

From Brembo data sheets, which I assume are applicable for all brands:

Front: 390 mm Diameter 36mm Thickness — 34 mm Minimum Thickness
Rear: 345mm Diameter 26mm Thickness — 24 mm Minimum Thickness

I'll look forward to your report on the Brembo Nao Ceramic P50127N pads. I've tried the Brembo low-met P50127 pads (didn't like them) and the EBC Redstuff DP31939C pads (liked them very much). I note that the Brembo Nao Ceramic pads are quite a bit cheaper than the low-met pads, so without any direct experience I'm just assuming they will not be better than the low-met pads. Would be nice to hear from someone with direct experience to either support or refute my assumption.

Good to hear about the Akebobo's. I was wondering why I haven't seen any recommendations for them. I really liked them on my previous AMG and naturally was thinking of them when I do my brakes.
