Tire wear question
I just got a new to me 2015 GL63. It came with Conti ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires. The fronts are down about half or maybe a little beyond and the rear (which have a date code a year newer) look almost new.
Since I have no history of tire rotations I’m wondering where the tires on these vehicles wear the most, on the front or the rear axle? In other words, should I leave the better ones in the back because they will wear down faster there and catch up to the currently more worn fronts or should I swap them? I’m assuming with the rwd bias the rears will see faster wear but wanted to confirm. Thanks!

The rear tires wear down quickly on the 63. I'm lucky to get 10k to 15k miles with gingerly driving. It does make sense to rotate the tires with more tread to the rear.

Has anyone tried to claim the 50k tread wear warranty on the Conti DWS tires?
