Oil Level / Temp issue
This orning while driving to the Office, the car showed a warning message (AMBER not RED) about not being able to read the oil level.
The engone temperature is normal. I kept monitoring for the next 5 miles or sop uintil I arrived to the Office. Same temperature, no issues.
Also, the AMG enu dont show engine oil temperature reading.
I will connect the escaner back at home tonight, but it seems the oil sensor went bad.
Can any of you confirm the oil level and oil temperature are provided by the same sensor or if there is 2 separate sensosr for that? Im assuming no, but never knows.
If someone have had this issue can provide info, part number, anedote while fixing?
FCPEuro shows this

This dealership has it like $100 cheaper

Thanks in advance

Not shocking the dealer is lower (for real). FCP will fall back on "lifetime warranty"....I mean, those senosors only tend to last a couple hundred thousand miles....
Note aside, the message is a warning, not an error, meaning all is supposed to be good. Engione coolant temp is showing good numbers too.
I will connect the computr tonight and see what I can find.
It seems the sensor has also a gasket. Added the URLs as it should be useful to somebody else. Im not sure yet if those are the right part numbers. FCPEuro said they are.

I did not received the warning anymore. After 10-15 miles driving the temperature showed again by itself and stayed for 15 miles more until I arrived to destination.
Today Oil temperature showed Ok for 30 miles.
I'm still thinking on a dying sensor. I will need to get under the car and check the sensor connector and wiring.
