New GLA250 Owner

I am excited to be part of the family and looking for support in anyway. I see on the car i can use flex fuel i also know dealer told me to use 91 octane any advance to using 93/94 octane? Also can you use lower octane and use octane booster?

The 93/94 octane will be fine. It just needs to be 91 or higher but most stations carry 93/94. I've always heard fuel costs will be higher or equal out if you use an octane value too low for your engine as the efficiency will go down.

Using octane that is too low can result in engine knock and cause the ECU to retard the timing, which reduces power. It also isn't good for the engine.

The octane boosters do not work.
