Replacement run flats for gx ssr or non run flat experiences for better ride??

Conti makes General, their excellent RT43 is great in snow and good wear. BFG is making some great tires now, owned by Michelin.
I would stay away from the SSR or any run flat. I carry a pump for most slow leaks and a plug kit. Good to learn how to plug a tire, you can do it still on the car in many instances. Keep pliers with it to pull out a nail, plug it and go.

Many of the tyres he reviews are not YET available in the US, but it's a look ahead. We get these tyres a year or two later.
The Vredstein Quadtrac he mentions is now available on Tire Rack. Not bad for wintery driving. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...0&autoModClar=
This is a good test, Goodyear Weatheready is one of the best, not cheap though... https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...y.jsp?ttid=231

But I have to say the OEM Conti run flats are much better than I had anticipated. No complaints from my wife either, which is Huge.
