I'm doing some renovations on my home so the SL63 has remained in storage for the summer. Driving the CLA45 just isn't the same. I really miss the 63 engine - the sound, the power and the torque. Also miss the transmission, which is the worst part of the CLA from my perspective. CLA does drive like it's on rails though, so give it big points for that.

The dealer here has zero info on the GLA, not even pricing. I was really shocked he didn't know anything, I didn't want to give him more info as i already know pricing and people have build dates scheduled.

Guess I will try the Toronto MB dealers next week.

C63 BS, GLA45

Pricing isn't out until Sept. Build allocations have been available since July, so building a July or August production means you're going in blind on price. Your Toronto dealer will have the same lack of info.

Because the packages are grouped differently from the CLA45, it's not easy guessing what the package prices will be. The base option codes between CLA45 and GLA45 are very similar (GLA comes standard with illuminated sills being the only difference), so expect base price to be around $1500 more than the CLA45.

Edition 1 MEX

I have just ordered today my GLA45 AMG and the "MEX" relates to the edition 1 package, Items Mercedes have included within the build, the only option available to me was to select the color. These vehicles are built in Germany . . . For now anyway!

delivery end of November . . . Can't wait!

Just got my official price for my Edition 1 GLA45 AMG. Almost had a heart attack.

MSRP OPTIONS
GLA45 - GLA45 AMG 4MATIC $50,500
MPP - Premium Package $4,900
MP2 - Premium Plus Package $2,900
ADP - AMG Driver's Package $1,400
MEX - Edition 1 $4,300
MET - Metallic Paint $890
TOTAL MSRP $64,890 Canadian

Plus taxes and fees = $78,205.75 out the door.

NOT what I was expecting
