I went to my local dealer yesterday looking at the GLC43 and C43 initially. However, I saw they had a new 2016 GLA45 in the showroom. It's leftover stock from last year that has not sold. The dealer has had it in inventory for 9 months (only 70 mi on ODO).

Anyway, they made me a pretty decent offer, but I'm not sure it's good enough for me to pull the trigger on it. I'll be leasing and the GLA45 residuals are pretty bad, so that's giving me a somewhat high lease rate. Anyway, here's the deal:

MSRP = $65,000 (approx)
Discount = 13% off
36mo/7.5k = $750/mo (tax included)


What do you think? Good deal? I threatened to walk unless they could do better. They told me that was the best they could do. They also said the deal was good for yesterday only. Today, who knows. Typical end of month sales push? Idk.

Additionally, I could not replicate their lease figures when I tried to. They're doing something funky with the numbers because the lease payment should not be this high (I think).

Thoughts?

 

What color? How much are they giving you off MSRP?

 

Silver. $8,500 off MSRP.

They also said they'd make the final lease payment + disposition fee on my current BMW lease (worth $1250). However, it seems that they just rolled that into the new lease instead. A bit misleading.

 

No kidding. I'd gladly go with another BMW again, except for the fact that I dislike their entire lineup (M2/3/4 excluded).

Nothing is as bad as Audi/Porsche lease rates, of course.

What kind of discount can one expect to negotiate on a new 2017 GLA45? 5%? Less?

I checked autotrader and there are a surprisingly large number of unsold 2016 GLA45's in dealer inventory. Especially considering the low production.

 

Yes and a lot of them are black that are out there. I am picking up a leftover also, mountain gray. MSRP is 64k, they are offering it at 57k. Going to offer 56K with them shipping it to me to SoCal. See what happens.

 

Wow. They're almost all black. Black isn't a bad color. Strange.

Deal fell through at the Natick Mercedes dealer. Ended up buying a better GLA45 from Reno Mercedes. Didn't want black but a deal I couldn't pass up and got a fully loaded GLA45 for about 3k more than what Natick Mercedes wanted for there gray GLA45.
