2018 GLA45 AMG - HPDE/Track/AutoX

I was able to secure the US Version of the A45 Yellow Night Edition, wait who am I kidding we don't get that badass car!

Instead I picked up the GLA45 AMG Performance Studio Edition at a steep discount. We are going to turn this beast into a track/AutoX/rallycross special with the help of Google Translate.

So far I have found the following list of parts available for this car and have started sourcing them. Here is the list to help other owners who might want to get more performance out of their GLA45, or maybe never considered this platform and it's capabilities.

K-MAC Camber Plates for X156 (Full Race for me)H&R Springs 1" Front .6" Rear Drop (I'm going to try these and wait for dscsport.com to work with me on creating a suspension controller for the GLA/GTR/E63S before going KW V3's)
  • Manufacturer Part #: 28809-3
H&R 30mm Front 26mm Rear Anti-Roll Sway Bars with replacement bushings (Only Available in Germany)
  • Manufacturer Part #: 33849-3
    • Seems these come in black and blue
Brake Pads, I was able to source these locally at OGRacing.com
  • Pagid Yellow (RS29). F-8188-$387, R-8188-$297
  • Motul 660 Fluid
  • Still looking for stainless lines, I'm told the CLA45 lines will fit
Rotors I'll source from Vivid Racing, WP Pro should do the truck, agency power also makes a kit.Front Strut Bar, found only one option so far, still looking:Cooling Parts
I'll add more as I do more research.

H&R Springs Installed - Got TONS of Negative Camber already. Noticeable improvement in cornering and corner grip.

Thanks for the update! How's the drivability in comfort mode and sport/sport+? Does it pair well with the adjustable dampers even though the shock absorber's suspension travel has been slightly reduced?

Thinking about doing any performance parts or tuning on it?

The drivability for me is improved, and I don't notice any increased "bumpiness" on the roads that I travel. I did 1000 highway miles two weeks ago and was pleasantly comfortable. Just found myself missing my E63S seats.

I haven't had it on the track, but in the back road twisty roads I no longer notice a big different between comfort and Sport+ suspension.

Will be getting some stock times at the road course and then we'll see where we need to go. Deciding between bolt-ons or right to the W.4 Kit

Thanks! You said you no longer notice the difference between C and S+, is it because the H&R springs have softer spring rates?

yes but they are go fast parts .
And you are planing on buying cooling parts from AMS which you dont need with stock car, only if you go to bigger turbo / more power things.
just saying go fast first then suspension next after driving for a while.
