GLB Owners...

Hello ladies and germs, the wifey is liking the look of this new GLB. So that means I have to do some research. Any current owners out there that want to give some info? How are you liking it? How’s the acceleration? Any creaks or squeaks from the interior? Any options you didn’t get and are regretting? How has it performed in the snow? Thanks for your time.

There's a new GLB forum. Meantime look at this.

The garage door opener is an option? $280.00? I wonder how many people will miss that when ordering?

*Its seemingly impossible to add navigation after purchase. there's no sd card slot and a call to both the dealer and the 'connect' line resulted in 'we can't yet add it'. the UI does prompt you to 'insert media' but there is no way to do it!
* Maybe we're just get used to it but there are multiple times i've walked away from the card with the doors not quite closed. they need a good shove to close properly.
* garage door opener is an option
* super impressive interior room for the size. the backseats have tons of room
* neat 110v power socket in the back seat. (might be an option)
* lots of usb ports but they are usb-c only. only one works with android auto/carplay.
* MBUX has crashed on me a couple of times and some features are baffling.. quite why i would want empty navigation displays (i don't have nav) i'm not sure.
* in the US you cannot get it to join your phone's hotspot becuase they want you to sign up for the built in at&t hotspot
*i cannot get tunein radio to work at all. even with the hotspot active it's just plain busted...
* wing mirrors seem to take ages to clear when wet (definately not heated)
* interior is well formed and quiet. the passenger belt likes to rattle if you don't put it back just right.
* I miss the 4matic on my old car. i live on a steep hill and i lose traction in this on a cold start if i am not very very gentle.
* it's got enough go for me, but maybe only in sport. There is a noticable difference in modes.
* i've not seen this mentioned in any review but the trunk floor can also be lowered to get more space. i love this!
* mercedes me connect doesn't seem to have improved much from my previous 2017 car.
* make sure to get the 10inch screens. the small standard ones are not great at all.

its front wheel drive, also the center console is really skinny and cheap looking from the rear seats. rear seat bench sits low and is not comfortable.

Hi there! I bought my GLB 250 in July 2020. It’s about the size of a Nissan Rogue. The way-back is big enough, and the car is nicely narrow — easily fits into parking spaces. Mine is the 250 and not the 250 4Matic. Drives much bigger than it is — I feel safe in it when I drive.

i live in Florida, there is no snow, here. However, it does fine in the sometimes torrential rain. Speed-sensitive wipers are nice.

For the size, it has nice elbow rests. I know that sounds odd, but comfort is important. MB says GLB seats 5 comfortably, but I think it’s more like 4.5. The GLB has a fair amount of legroom the backseat.

It Has quick acceleration and is tighter to drive than other cars I’ve had. I wish it were quieter on the interstate, but I say that about every car I own. The side mirrors can be programmed to tuck in when parked.

The model I bought doesn’t have satellite radio (really?!?!?!?) but CarPlay works well and has a better interface than other cars I’ve owned. I’m still getting used to the whats-its and doo-dads to manage the dash, but it’s coming along. I’ve found the online videos to be especially helpful for me, a first-time MB buyer.

Very glad I bought it - no regrets at my purchase!

good luck!

there’s an MBUX users and owners group on Facebook. Join so you can learn more about your MBUX infotainment. Did you know you can link your GLB with Amazon Alexa and Google assistant and control the features using voice commands outside the car? Check it out. If you join the group ask a guy named Miguel for help. Now I can open my garage, turn lights on or off with Google assistant directly on MBUX. Great guy very helpful.
