Hello,
I'm looking to install the illuminated star onto my GLB. What is the oem part number? I called several dealers and they gave two contrasting prices...480ish and one gave me 250'ish. ('m thinking the 250 price is the wrong part #). I'll confirm but it its just 250 i'll jump on that deal.
Or I am considering a non oem amazon star.
In additoin...i know the the clean oem star will be wired into the fuse box.
But the aftermarket ones often just require "tapping" into a hot wire such as the headlight. Is there any really disadvantage or concerns if i try to aftermarket route?

Oh..that was easy! Thanks. I tried this one from amazon but doesn't fit. Which is right one to buy from ebay/amazon?

Read through "DIY - Replace grille with Panamericana version and LED star for under $200" thread. Try to private message the tread owner. It appears to be the only reference to an aftermarket illuminated star that worked, however there was no link to where it was purchased from. Otherwise you can purchase MB OEM star for $225 on ebay. Buy it from Benz as soon the kit. Ask for a deal on it, most will give you a fair price. Especially if you have purchased from them.
I have installed the stars on my C300 and Glb250. It was a pain in the a$$ as the bumper had to come off. Not as easy as just twisting the star, at least not for me.
I just bought another GLB though and the dealer gave it to me for $200 installed with my new purchase.
