Question GLB 250 Subwoofer

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have the Burmester upgrade on their GLB250; and can provide me with the model number of the subwoofer by chance? I have attached a photo from a review of the GLB. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I have the third row, so I can't see the sub and amp. Can you snap another picture of the subwoofer? Just want to see the wire harness. Thanks.

This picture came from a review I saw on youtube of the GLB in the European market. Don't know f it's available to the U.S. or its included in the Burmester sound system. I don't think it available with third-row seating from the reviews I have seen. I currently have a U.S. GLB AMG line, and I wanted to add the factory sub instead of an aftermarket one for a cleaner look. I do not have much room in the trunk.

I just want to add an amp to beef up the sound a little. How easy do you think , without messing up the electronics?

I also want more boom in the trunk, but a powered subwoofer is the closest option to add. I don't know where it can be placed there is not much room in the GLB. I was hoping with this forum someone would have the part number for the sub and harness, I may have to contact the Mercedes parts to see if it can be added.

Not easy. Dash, center console, and running power to the battery from back to the engine bay. A lot of work, but would get it done professionally.

Yes, just had it done last week. It perfectly stayed under the trunk area and the bass is much stronger now that I kept it at lowest all the time.

How hard was it to put in a wire up?
did you have to run a power wire to the battery and does the stock radio have connections in the back for the sub??

I need professionals to install it for couple of reasons. This sub is directly replacing the stock sub which is a joke that people paid extra for. There are some rewiring there. Also, GLB 35 is too new they couldn't find more info about it so they had to tested everything out properly. Lastly my car is a lease so I wanted everything to be able to revert back to stock upon return. Total installation tool about 4 hours but it should be an easy job for them the second time.

Power comes from the battery.

One thing to note: if your car has that synthetic fake exhaust sound, your new sub will further enhance that fake sound and it is actually very annoying. That sound cannot be controlled by volume control and extra bass is just blowing your ear every time you shift gears. I am waiting to do the coding to disable that synthetic sound forever.

Mind sharing how much it cost you to put the sub in and where you got it done?
I seen that MBhouse does a sub upgrade for $950 that fits in the spare tire area as well...

It is much cheaper than that even with tax in. If you are in GTA you can DM me for the info.

Did you actually ever get a real answer to your question? I also would like to just add a sub in this spot. Sounds like the reason to get Burmester sound is to get the wiring and harness even if you don't like the subwoofer they use.

To each their own, but I'd like something actually useful in that area. I don't see myself shooting up a school or public place ever so I'll pass on the murder kit stored in a 20 step process to access and ready.

That comment was in bad taste.

As for useful, it's subjective. Try dealing with a pack of Florida hogs on your property.

A pack of wild hogs would eat you and halfway crap you out by the time you pulled that thing out of the trunk and got ready.

Bad taste is riding around with an assault weapon in your trunk and posting it to a post about subwoofers. And extra bad taste is that safety yellow magazine.

Wrong again like your lifestyle choices. But my pistol is ready to go for actual self defense. And it is small and compact and built for speed and purpose. Not an extension of my manhood. I spent my childhood hunting for food and would spend weeks if not months in the woods and plains each year hunting elk and antelope for my family. In all that time you known what I never encountered, a dumbass with an assault rifle. Instead most hunters preferred a rifle similar to the what me and my family used... single shot 7mm that was always accurate even in temperatures well below zero. The largest magazine I ever saw a real hunter use probably held only 7 rounds, but doubt they actually loaded more than one or two in it. But I guess we weren't scarred of bacon where I come from. Only cougars, bears, and wolves. All of which we also took down at least once with the same single shot 7mm when they came to try and take our kill as we ported it out.
I'm anti NRA gun nut. And anti gun culture. So yes that probably makes me anti skullbox15.

Hello - don't know if this has been answered (I did search this forum) I would like to know how I can pass the power wire through the firewall? Is there a existing grommet I can pass through? I really don't want to drill a hole. Owner 2023 GLB-250 with 3rd row seats. If this question has been answered, please point me in the right direction...please......also, yes the third row speakers are empty, it's just a empty panel with speaker grill... - I didn't find a connector, has anyone tried to add a speaker?
