I'm debating between purchasing a 2020 or 2021 in Canada. Does anyone know what the differences are (price, features, delivery date etc)? If I was to order today a build to spec would it automatically be a 2021 model?
On the reality there may be no difference but GLB production started at late 2019. Son until now about 10 months there can be many feedbacks, faulty parts or reports. If i had chance i would prefer manufactured after June 2020. On the theory some faulty or reported parts possibly change.. For the configuration it depends with agreement of country sellers and daimler or availibility of parts (may depends on Covid since broken supply chain of parts)

Blind Spot Monitoring and the 115Volt outlet are now standard equipment. They also added the Dashcam, the MBUX interior assistance and the additional rear airbag....but it may still not be available upon ordering. Also my sales guy told me they took away the Head-up display option for 2021 for now (don't know if that's true or not).
If you did a build spec now, it would definitely be a 2021. We just did this in the US, as production on the 2020s has stopped already. I would suggest the 2021, for the reasons others have mentioned, to weed out possible bugs on the original model year. If you want a 2020, it would be from available inventory only. Looking forward to our 2021 later this fall!
Oddly in Canada they're still taking orders for build to spec for 2020. I confirmed this yesterday with 5 different dealers. They won't start 2021 production until Sept with deliveries in Dec or beyond. Not sure why it's different from the US but it's really too bad.

That’s really interesting, that you can still order a 2020 in Canada! Probably trying to limit late season demand from US dealers, and pushing us to the 2021 model year. Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to seeing our new vehicle sometime in the next 6 months!!
When should pricing be available on a 2021 factory order? Got a quote from a local dealer on a GLB 250 FWD and no pricing is displayed on the build sheet yet. They gave me a tentative production date of 9/23 but I haven’t put down the deposit.
