GLB v EQB - would you EQB the next time?
I have built a 2023 GLB after having two loaners. Yesterday, a colleague leased an EQS. I am now considering the EQB.
Has anyone here made the leap to electric and are you happy with the decision?

I have not checked EQB though I saw a couple reviews. If I was considering an electric car, I would most probably go for a Hyundai Ioniq 5 based on fast charging times, a very similar interior space and dashboard LCD's to GLB...

I try not to be an early adopter of any Mercedes cars (although I broke that rule when I bought a 2020 GLB)... I've owned 4 MBs in my life, I bought a 2004 C32 (last production year of the car).. MB had a buyback on the 2002 models because the engines were so bad. I bought a 2006 C55 (they only produced that car for 2 years) then I bought 2014 C63 (last production year of the M156). They update/change a lot of things from the first year version of the cars. In my experience buying the late year productions of those models has been a good experience. None of the cars have had majors issues. I even drove the C32 until it had 130k miles on it. No way in hell I'd buy the first year version on an electric MB. Just too much first time technology for my liking on those things. Seeing as the S-class is MBs flagship model, I'm sure it's had a lot of money/time put into development of the Sedan (although it's the ugliest MB ever made). The "B" series is considered entry level. You can tell that for sure if you compare the build quality on the GLB (Made in Mexico) to a German-produced car,.. Not even close. I think the EQS sedan and SUV are both made in German plants.
I personally wouldn't take the leap an entry level MB with such a new platform like the Q. I think the EQB is made in China.
I love how MB is charging us German-produced prices for cars made in 3rd world countries.

GLB's are assembled only in Mexico and China. All the GLB's in Germany are from Mexico (from German posts). EQB assembly is in Hungary and China:
