GLB35 AMG 2021
Auxiliary battery

My app tells me that my “starter battery” is partially discharged. GLB35 less than a year old, kept in garage. I try to remember to have my key further away in the house (over 20 feet) so that the car doesn’t think I need to use it constantly (it makes little noises when I’m near it). Any suggestions or reasons why this has happened.

My 2021 GLB is my 1st Mercedes. Bought it used (service loaner). I was getting the same warning. Took in into the dealer to test the battery. Checked out ok. They said the app warning is not calibrated right and to ignore it.

If you get the dash warning light that's the one to pay attention to. I've noticed you can't use the accessory mode very long without discharging the battery to a level where you get the warning. I don't know if the vehicle has a lot of parasitic draw or not. It seems like it needs to be run more often than my other vehicles to keep the battery charged. I'm retired so it doesn't get started every day.

My 2020 Audi Q3 can sit for numerous days and not have an issue. Battery is always up and the start/stop function works right at startup. The MB start/stop may or may not work right away. Seems to need a fully charged battery, or close to it to work. I know there a lot of parameters to make S/S function on any vehicle.

I still suspect a failing battery. I'm not sure if they load tested it or not. Just seems that it is discharging quicker than normal when the car is sitting. Typical MB, don't know. Maybe the GLB needs to be run more often.
Guess I'll have to break out the VOM and monitor the battery voltage over a period of time.

2021 Glb35 AMG (2013 GLK 350)
The car is under warranty. You should check with the dealership service dept. The auxiliary battery lasted 8 years with my previous GLK 350.

2021 Mercedes GLB250 4Matic
I do not believe that massage " battery is partially discharged" is anything to warry about. It's just telling you it's not fully charged. When my wife drives the car locally short distances, the MB Connect app has that message in the Service Menu, however when I have the car and drive to work for about 40 min it always states "Charged".
On GLB250 you can go into vehicle setting and see full battery information, however on GLB35 it is replaced by something else.
