New GLB, tint guy broke my key a week later. Halp! Warranty ?
But you’ve heard it correct. I was getting my car tinted and the tint person drove off with my key on the windshield and found it a mile down the road, broken. I feel bad because it’s an honest mistake.
MB wants 800+ for a new key. I didn’t purchase warranty for this initially. Can this be purchased after he fact? I’m trying to help this guy as best as I can.
Also, I didn’t purchase the tire warranty (wish I did) but I’m told they have a 3rd party warranty that acts similar but I have to submit a claim if something were to happen. Does anyone have experience with this as well?

You might be better of asking this question on Technical Assistance forum. They were very helpful when I was looking for part numbers, etc.
I bought the tire warranty due to 21" wheels that came with the car... It is also good for curb rashes, etc with the low profile tires... The service directly charged the insurance without any call/paperwork from me...
