Weird metallic clicking sound when turning the wheels
I have a GLB250 4MATIC 2021. When I turn the wheel, especially if full locked, I hear two distinct types of sounds :
1. One sounds like a metallic grinding sound, which is more apparent after a car wash and a full lock - it seems to me something is getting stuck.
2. Another one is a metallic clicking sound. It is very profound when stationary and especially if turning the full lock in either direction
The 2nd one is consistent. I will record both and post them here. I have flagged it to the MB dealer a few times, at least. Almost every time, they concluded that I was nuts and hearing things. Once, they did agree and said they would fix it. But it started again after a few days.
Also, the car, on some days, feels sluggish and loud/noisy as if something is holding it back. While some days, it drives like a dream - super smooth and responsive.
Thanks

On your first case, does the sound go away once you start moving? If it does, than it is your rear break pads fusing to the rotors after a car wash. It is known issue on this thread for GLB. It happed to me once after a car wash and went away after 2 days. Some members stated that they have this issue continuously.
Your second case sound could be either tie rods or rack and pinion. Do you feel the clicking through your steering wheel? Sounds like your dealer at least found where the sound is coming from, if it stopped for few days. I would definitely let them fix it again and again, until it is resolved permanently.

Yeah, I read about the rear brake pads; it seems different. Thanks, I have the first service due shortly; I will take it up with the dealer.
Thanks
